In April 2007 Archives of International Medicine published research of analysis that cocoa flavonols reduce blood pressure. Also in 2006 they published a 15 year study that's result in 50% reduction in cardiovascular mortality if regularly consuming cocoa.

Harvard Medical School also studied the effects of cocoa flavonols. Researchers found that people with regular use have lower rate of heart disease and cancer.
